It’s been reported by many sources that Sam Burns is Arnold Palmers grandson. I’m not sure of the source of this information but it’s been passed around for many years. The most famous Arnold Palmer story was when he was challenged by the lawyer to a match, and he accepted. Then the lawyer challenged Arnold to a game of golf from 100 yards out in front of him, and Arnold accepted. But when they got out on the course, Arnold said that his swing wasn’t working and can I take a mulligan? And he threw in all of his clubs into an old bag with a hole in it. And he said, “No sir. I don’t even have a driver and a putter.”
